HIV/AIDS sudah lama menjadi isu bersama di dunia termasuk di Indonesia, khususnya di bidang kesehatan. Salah satu kelompok yang rentan tertular adalah tenaga kesehatan termasuk mahasiswa kebidanan karena berhubungan langsung dengan klien. Tindakan efektif yang dapat mencegah penularan HIV/AIDS adalah melalui praktik pencegahan infeksi yang benar. Perilaku praktik pencegahan infeksi ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh persepsi risiko tertular HIV/AIDS.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi risiko tertular HIV/AIDS dengan praktik pencegahan infeksi pada mahasiswa Program Studi Kebidanan (D-3) Stikes Jenderal Achmad Yani Cimahi Tahun 2017.
Penelitian menggunakan metode analitik korelasi dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 101 responden dengan teknik total sampling. Data yang diperoleh menggunakan data primer melalui kuesioner.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 21,8% praktik pencegahan infeksi pada pemakaian peralatan tajam masih dilakukan dengan tidak benar dan 74,3% responden memiliki persepsi tidak berisiko tertular HIV/AIDS. Hasil analisis diketahui bahwa persepsi berisiko tertular HIV/AIDS secara signifikan berhubungan dengan praktik pencegahan infeksi (p=0,016).
Simpulannya ada hubungan persepsi berisiko tertular HIV/AIDS dengan praktik pencegahan infeksi pada mahasiswa Prodi Kebidanan (D-3) Stikes Jenderal Achmad Yani Cimahi
HIV/AIDS has long been a major issue in the world including in Indonesia, especially in health sector. One of the groups that are susceptible of contracting i.e. health workers including midwifery students due to the deal directly with the client. The effective actions that can prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS infection prevention practices is through properly. The infection prevention practices can be influenced by the perception of the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS.
The purpose of this research is to know the correlation betwen the perception of the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS with infection prevention practices at Midwifery Course Students (D-3) of Stikes Jenderal Achmad Yani Cimahi in 2017.
This research was a correlation analytic research with cross-sectional approach.The samples are 101 respondents with total sampling techniques. Data collected by primary data through the distribution of questionnaire that further analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Chi Square.
Research result showed that there is few (21,8 %) practices prevention infection to wear equipment sharp are still being undertaken unjustly and the majority (74,3%) of respondents have the not risky be infected by HIV/AIDS.The results of the analysis bivariat known that the perception risky be infected by HIV/AIDS significantly relating to practices prevention infections (p=0,016).
The conclusion that there is a correlation of perception risky be infected by HIV/AIDS with practices prevention infections at Midwifery Course Students (D-3) of Stikes Jenderal Achmad Yani Cimahi in 2017. Expected students can improve the practice of prevention of infection in thorough and consistent because it could impact of contracting HIV/AIDS which will transmit on yourself as well as others.
